To provide a unique and wholesome hydroponic fodder that is qualitative, cost-effective, and sustainable.
To become the leading hydroponic hub that instills entrepreneurial values in embracing technology for maximized livestock feeding by 2050
Ice-break of UKC, the leading hydroponic Fodder Technology Hub in Rwanda that instills entrepreneurial values, skills& enhancing circular economy.
With diverse experiences and team spirit, our hydroponic fodder core supply guarantees cost-effective animal feed thereby rendering economic returns to rural farmers. .
Ice-break of UKC, the leading hydroponic Fodder Technology Hub in Rwanda that instills entrepreneurial values, skills & enhances qualitative and maximized livestock production to farmers
UKC is mainstreaming hydroponic technology in Agriculture, that is smart, cost-effective, and sustainable to all seasons. More interestingly it's vertical, soilless, quick maturity rate and generate economic returns to the farmers in Rwanda .
We technologically cultivate and sell green fresh livestock feeds(fodder) to farmers currently in Rwanda. .
We offer hydroponic technology knowledge and skills to livestock farmers and students interns.
We work with different like-minded stakeholders and partners to reach to our goals on socio-economic development.
We work with different partner entities in carrying out evidence based studies on how technology can create jobs, increase production and overcome climate shocks in the livestock sector .
We provide reliable information, advise and guidance to the pertinent Hydroponics fodder technology issues to our clients and beneficiaries.
We reach out the community to provide installations of hydroponic fodder systems to enable livestock farmers maximize feeds production in small space with smart climate ressiliency .
There are complex challenges in livestock sector. Feeding in particular affects health and ultimately animal products. Livestock keepers deserve another approach to make money and thrive. UKC is tackling the following:
Incorporating an agricultural climate resilient technology Hydroponics:
“I couldn’t believe that cultivating in air is possible until I got the training from UKC, and I found it possible to feed my 2 cows at home with the fodder supplements. I feed each cow daily with 1 tray of 11kgs. My cow noted increase in milk from 6 liters and 10 liters to 14 liters and 18 liters daily. I have some money increase and the health of my cow is good. This is technology that I am are happy about.”
“My indigenous and Exotic poultry breeds get the green fodder feeding every day. I have seen weight increase and I fetch money at market when I sell them. The eggs have very yellow yolk and looks very natural. My cows also has record 6-8 liters within one and half months of use. I use maize fodder which I found cheaper and I have seen results. It has reduced to almost half of my feeding expenses. This cooperative is our blessing.”
“I have 46 pigs and they lovely enjoy the green fodder. I cut the feeding costs and save almost Rwf 450,000 Rwf monthly. This fodder is so good to my pigs after acquiring consultations and training from UKC animal scientist. I can attest that this fodder is magic. I sell pigs every 3 months with good weight increase and I have piglets that get much milk suckling from the nursing pig. I think the end of the world is coming, these technologies are what was prophesied in the Bible.”
UKC Green technology has demonstrated eco-friendly approach by minimizing water use through recycling, minimal space through vertical cultivation and sustainable daily supply of nutritious fodder for livestock,
